The Body Sanctuary Terms of Use
Except as otherwise provided in a written agreement signed by The Body Sanctuary, these Terms of Use represent the entire understanding between you and The Body Sanctuary These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and by accessing this website and/or making a booking or purchase you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to be bound by these terms and conditions you may not use or access this website.
Before you place an order for products or services, if you have any questions relating to these terms and conditions please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Body Sanctuary reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, update, or remove portions of these Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, so please check them from time to time as your continued use of the Site signifies your acceptance of any changed terms. If you are dissatisfied with these Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue your use of the Site.
Disclaimer
The Body Sanctuary provides the site and its services on an “as-is” basis. The Body Sanctuary makes no representation or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation those related to: (1) The operation of the site; (2) The information, content, materials, or services included or described therein; and (3) Any application or information submitted to us through the site. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Body Sanctuary disclaims all warranties, express or implied (including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose), regarding the site, including without limitation warranties related to the operation of the site, The information, content, materials, and service described therein, and any information or applications submitted through the site. Without limiting the foregoing, The Body Sanctuary does not warrant that the site or any of its functions will be uninterrupted or error free, The Body Sanctuary what defects will be corrected, or that the site is free of viruses or other harmful components. The Body Sanctuary does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use of the materials on the site or the services described therein.
Rules for Online Conduct
By using the service, you agree that you will not attempt to undermine the integrity of this web site.
We reserve the right to take a 50% deposit on all services which are to exceed the value of £50.00
Your right to cancel
The following terms apply to all appointments made for between Tuesday – Saturday, At least 48 hours notice is requested if you need to cancel or change your appointment. Otherwise the late cancellation costs as laid out below will be charged.
Cancellation or change of treatment times within 48 hours of your booking will incur a charge of 50% of the full treatment value. If you fail to show for the appointment, your treatment(s) will be charged at full cost. If part of a booking is cancelled or changed after arrival, the full cost of the treatment(s) as booked will remain payable upon departure.
As we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with the salon (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract
How to cancel or change your appointment: Cancellations should be made by calling us on 020 7731 1080. If you are cancelling outside of normal operating hours - you may cancel by email cancellations@thebodysanctuary.co.uk but this should be followed up by telephone during The Body Sanctuary operating hours. If you have an email address registered with us, you will receive an email confirming your cancellation.
Special function bookings
We accept bookings by special appointments only for between 2-16 guests wishing to book from our range of treatments listed under "The Body Sanctuary price list". A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to secure any appointments.
Gift vouchers
Gift Vouchers are non refundable and are valid for 6 months from the purchase date and will not be accepted after the expiry date. Vouchers may be used for services only at The Body Sanctuary within standard operating hours. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash, sold or transferred. The voucher entitles the persons named to redeem this voucher at The Body Sanctuary. The voucher may not be used to purchase products from The Body Sanctuary; the voucher may only be used and redeemed against services provided at The Body Sanctuary. Please quote issue number at the time of booking and the voucher handed to the therapist at the start of your treatment. You are not under obligation to use the full value of your vouchers during one session.
Late cancellation and "failure to show" terms as laid out above also apply to gift vouchers - which will be voided at The Body Sanctuary should you fail to give the required notice. Please check required notice periods based on the value of the booked treatment(s).
Our right to cancel
If a therapist is not available to carry out your treatments through circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative therapist. In unusual circumstances we may need to cancel your booking. In the event that we cannot fulfill your appointment, we will contact you by telephone - where possible.
Our rights
We reserve the right to:
• Modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or any part thereof) with or without notice to you and you confirm that we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the website
• Change the conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the conditions have been changed. If you do not agree to any change to the conditions then you must immediately stop using the website and/or our services.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds for any completed services. However if you are in any way dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, please contact us on enquiries@thebodysanctuary.co.uk. We will try our utmost to resolve any problems.
Your file
You agree to keep your personal record held by The Body Sanctuary updated with your full contact details - which will enable us to contact you in the event of any change relating to your appointments. Where possible, please provide both landline and mobile telephone numbers.
Mobile Phones
In the interest of comfort of all our clients, please refrain from using a mobile phone and ensure it is switched off for the full duration of your time at The Body Sanctuary.
Privacy policy
We will treat all your Personal Information as confidential. We will keep it on a secure server and we will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation.
Payment
All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your booking or product is the price as set out on this website.
You confirm that the credit, debit card, which is being used, is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.
For gift vouchers and products: If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
There may also be a charge applicable if choose to pay by card and amount deemed is to small.

Prior permission to use, reproduce, or reprint any photograph, illustration, artwork, or other material on the Site must be obtained from the copyright owner, regardless of the intended use. Any unauthorized use of the materials appearing on the Site is in violation of copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws and could result in criminal or civil penalties.
Punctuality & Courtesy
As a courtesy to other clients following your appointment, late arrivals will result in a reduction of treatment time. Please do not ask the impossible, we will endeavor to carry out what we can within the time slot allocated, or suggest a re-booking. All times stated include preparation of room and client: i.e. 5 minutes at the beginning and end of treatment.
Courses
Some treatments are available in courses. Courses must be completed within six months. Courses are not transferable or refundable. Full payment on first appointment is payable. Cancellation terms apply.
Consultation
We are aware that many of you may be confused as to which treatment best suites your specific requirements. We are of course, pleased to offer you up-to-date information and advice with a complimentary consultation in the strictest of confidence. Please allow 10 minutes prior to your first appointment for a consultation with our fully qualified Therapists.
Hygiene
The Body Sanctuary Hygiene is, of course, the utmost importance and to achieve optimal cleanliness all our sterilisation equipment is approved by the local Environmental Health Officer.
General Treatment Advice - Very Important Information
Food - Always allow at least 1 hour to digest your meals before having treatments.
Alcohol - Never consume alcohol before any treatment.
Medical Conditions - If you have any of the following it is essential to tell your therapist before your treatment as some electrical treatments are prohibited if you suffer from these conditions:
• Pacemaker
• Heart Condition
• Diabetes
• Allergies
• Epilepsy
• Contact Lenses
• Pregnancy
• Metal Plates / Pins / Coil
Waxing
Do not have heat treatments or undertake exercise (e.g. sauna, sunbed, Jacuzzi, workout, or swim etc.) Less than 8 hours before or 24 hours after your wax. Avoid wearing "Best" underwear for Bikini wax. Avoid normal deodorants after under arm wax.
Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms of Use shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
Whilst all care has been taken to ensure accuracy in the preparation of the content on this website, no warranty can be given and interested parties must therefore rely on their own enquiries.
